22.10.2009 @ Sugar Factory/Amsterdam
- 15:00 - 19:00: AV Playground and Preparations
Everyone brings their own work (as in installations, custom VJ-ing software, generative audio/video programs, special electronic instruments, animations, sensor-applications, etc) and does whatever is needed to use these in a cool way during the Jam, preferably linked to other people’s gear. Equally important, this is the time for people to look at each other’s work, demonstrate the latest ideas they’ve been working on, etc. Computers will be set up in the VIP-area (upstairs with a balcony looking out on the dance floor).
- 19:00 - 20:00: Dinner
We’ll order noodles from a nearby take-away restaurant and eat them in Sugar Factory, possibly not behind our computer screens.
- 20:00 - 23:00: 365Mag workshops, including Share demo’s
365mag organizes workshops by Francois K, Ben Liebrand and more. One of the topics covered will be Max for Live. Participants of Share are able to take part in this workshop by connecting their work to Ableton Live via the Max for Live interface. This will all happen on the dance floor area (with chairs), so in the mean time in the VIP area anyone who feels like it can continue preparing for the Jam.
- 23:00 - 00:00: Share Jam
After the last workshop the chairs will be removed from the dance floor and we’ll start the Share Jam. The aim is to make this audiovisual experience both as innovative and as entertaining as possible, for geeks and for more general public, involving as much Share participants as possible. There will be security personnel to watch the gear when general public enters the venue.
- 00:00 - 05:00: Club night
Dj’s and live acts booked by 365Mag will take over, if possible they will participate in the end of the Share Jam and take it from there. There is still room for visual work from Share during the night, in cooperation with the resident VJ’s. If the club gets busy around 02:00 or so, we’ll start transferring gear to a secure location in order to free space at the balcony.
